No, we do not design or develop new products for our customers, but we regularly work with companies and design firms to commercialize, manufacture, and bring new products to market.
Kalow has a long track record of successfully working with start-up and early-stage companies. In the past our greatest success has been with companies who are working at a beta stage or are looking to transition a product into full production.
We typically like to receive a package that includes the drawings and CAD models, bill of materials, and any other support documents, such as work instructions, that may have been developed.
Kalow’s Engineering Department is highly skilled and regularly reviews, edits, and develops these types of documents. We believe this is an integral part of our relationship with a customer and ensures we have the right documentation in place to consistently produce products to exacting specifications.
Absolutely, we routinely provide these types of services and believe this is a core competency of our Engineering Department. We view our relationship with a customer as a partnership and gauge our success based on the success our customer has selling their product in the market.
Yes, we regularly work with our customers to support their specific agency approval requirements. We have supported UL, CE, CSA, TUV, NSF, and IAPMO approvals, to name a few.
Kalow has produced a wide range of products since our founding in the early 1980’s. We have produced products for the packaging, 3D printing, beverage, ag-tech, and medical, as well as numerous other industries.
Yes, we have an extensive and well-developed vendor base that is made up of qualified domestic and international suppliers.
We regularly provide additional services such as machine refurbishment, spare part fulfillment, engineering design support, and 3PL order fulfillment. We are always willing to review other special requirements a customer may have.
We have a well-developed Quality Management System and are ISO9001:2015 certified.

No. While prior experience is helpful, we are always willing to train people who are interested in manufacturing and possess the right attitude with a desire to develop a career in manufacturing.
We do hire a limited number of interns and enjoy providing learning and mentorship opportunities for people considering roles in manufacturing.
